Wimbledon Mosque was pleased to host the first Exhibition on Islam on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October 2015. The event attracted over 300 guests attending over a 2 day period from a diverse range of backgrounds and from various boroughs across London.
The community focused event provided the opportunity for guests to tour the Mosque and learn more about the people, culture and history of Islam spanning over 1400 years. The friendly atmosphere resulted in some wonderful questions and personal stories from guest and these were warmly received by the many male and female volunteers from Wimbledon Mosque.
The post event survey completed by guests showed great support for the event with the majority suggesting they would attend similar events in the future.
The event was covered by Wimbledon Guardian in their article “Hundreds of visitors to a Merton mosque enjoyed a fascinating exhibition on Islam.”
